iPhone alarm bug

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

This tuesday morning I was late at a business meeting because the alarm on my iPhone rang one hour to late :(

After getting up and taking a shower really fast, I’ve had a look on the alarm settings and there was the right time configured – What was going on…?

Obviously there was some kind of bug in my iPhone, so I’ve googled for it and found that:

Over the next weekend the time change will take place in the US – We’ll see wether Apple can rollout a bugfix for the US customers on time…

connect macbook to the internet via iPhone

Sunday, October 10th, 2010

Sometimes one doesn’t have a wifi or cabled internet access (on an airport, in a hotel etc.) – Then you might want to connect your macbook via iPhone to the internet – Here is what you have to do:

  1. on the iPhone go to settings > general > network > (scroll down) and change Internet-Tethering to On and choose USB
  2. connect your iPhone to your Mac via USB cable
  3. the Mac should ask now, wether you wanna open the network settings > Yes you want!
  4. Click on the iPhone connection and click apply

From now on your Mac connects to the internet every time you connect your iPhone with a USB cable :)
